Registration will be open from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. Registration will open again on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 7:00 a.m. and continues to be open throughout the conference. The Clinical Conference will commence on Wednesday morning, April 22, 2015, at 7:45 a.m. and includes an evening welcome reception, special interest luncheons, general session, breakout sessions, exhibits, networking opportunities and social events.
Registration cancellations will be accepted in writing only. AOASM will apply a $50 administrative fee for cancellation requests received by 5:00 p.m. Central Time on Friday, April 3, 2015. No refunds will be given for any requests received after Friday, April 3. All refunds will be processed no later than May 15, 2015. Walk-ins and replacements are always welcome. As the headquartered hotel, the AOASM educational sessions, exhibits, and guest rooms will be held at The DoubleTree by Hilton Philadelphia Center City Hotel in Philadelphia, PA. Expect a warm welcome and outstanding service at the DoubleTree, a top choice in Philadelphia hotels. Located on the Avenue of the Arts and nine miles (20 minutes) from Philadelphia International Airport, the hotel provides views of the Delaware River and downtown Philadelphia. Stay at this hotel and be near attractions such as the Pennsylvania Convention Center, City Hall and the Liberty Bell.
Valet parking and Self-parking are available to all overnight guests of the hotel. Valet charges are $38 per night and self-parking fees are $25 per night. An outside shuttle service is $10 per person each way through Lady Liberty Shuttle service (http://www.ladylibertyshuttle.com) and taxicabs are a flat fee of $28.50 each way.

AOASM works diligently to provide attendees with the most convenient hotels at a good value. AOASM contracts with the hotel to hold sleeping rooms for use by our attendees. If AOASM does not meet the room block, penalty fees could be incurred. When reserving your room via phone, please use the toll-free number and refer to the AOASM Clinical Conference in order to be eligible for the discounted rate. We encourage all attendees at the Clinical Conference to book their reservation at the headquarters hotel.
To reserve your room online, please go to the AOASM annual conference website and click on the Clinical Conference direct reservation page labeled: American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine Hotel Reservations. In order to confirm a room assignment for attendees, the hotel requires a (first or last) night’s pre-payment deposit when reserving your room.
The hotel reservations cut-off deadline is March 27, 2015. Room rates cannot be guaranteed after that date. The AOASM discounted room rate is $189 for single occupancy; $189 double occupancy; $199 for triple occupancy; and $209 for quadruple occupancy. The room rate is exclusive of occupancy tax. Guest room rate includes complimentary Internet in guest sleeping rooms. Quoted rates will be offered, based on availability, to all attendees 3 days prior and 3 days after the conference dates (4/19/15 to 4/28/15). RESERVE YOUR ROOM EARLY in case the room block at the hotel sells out prior to the AOASM cut-off date. Rooms will be reserved on a first come, first serve basis. Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. and checkout time is 12 noon.
Early Departure -To avoid an early check-out fee of $85, guests must advise hotel at or before check-in of any change in planned length of stay.
Cancellation - Guest must notify Hotel twenty-four (24) hours prior to the day of arrival to not forfeit the one-night room rate plus tax deposit.
AOASM has requested that the AOA Council on Continuing Medical Education approve this program up to 25.50 hours of AOA Category 1-A CME credits. Approval is currently pending. Register for continuing education credits by checking ALL of the applicable boxes on the registration form.
The American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine is recognized by the Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for certified athletic trainers. This program has been approved for up to 25.0 hours of continuing education credits.
Physical Therapy Credits
Continuing education (CE) requirements for physical therapists vary from state to state. Most states that mandate CE for renewal of licensure have a process in place where an individual PT/PTA licensee may petition directly to the State licensing agency for acceptance of a continuing education course. Check with your state licensing board for the proper procedures and forms.
AOASM will again be offering instructional sessions, and hands-on workshops this year. Optional sessions will be noted in the on-site program, and attendees will not need to choose these sessions ahead of time via the registration form.
Join your colleagues at the Welcome Reception on Wednesday evening, April 22 from 5:45 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., in the Exhibit Hall. Take this opportunity to visit with colleagues, attend the Poster Sessions, and meet the Exhibitors. Everyone is invited to attend.
Back by popular demand, a student/resident/fellow luncheon hosted by the AOASM will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. To register, please indicate your attendance on the registration form.
Award of Fellow Banquet
Please make every effort to attend the AOASM Award of Fellow Banquet on Thursday, April 23, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The banquet will include a ticket to the dinner event, a cash bar, an award ceremony, an induction of the AOASM officers, and an AOA update. Tickets are $50 each and guests are welcome to register and attend. You will need to purchase a ticket for each guest attending the banquet. To register yourself (and your guests), please check the AOASM Award of Fellow Banquet on the registration form.
The Russell M. Wright Memorial Keynote Luncheon Event
The Rusty Wright Memorial Lecture will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015. This year, the luncheon will be located at The Citizen’s Bank Park and the guest speaker will be E. Lee Rice, D.O., FAAFP, FAOASM. (Dr. E. Lee Rice, founder and CEO of Lifewellness Institute, has more than thirty years of experience as a family and sports medicine physician. Dr. Rice is one of the premier medical experts on wellness.) This keynote luncheon and tour event is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pre-registration and an additional fee of $50 per person is required. This fee includes: a ticket to the catered luncheon, CME for attending the lecture, a guided tour of the Citizen’s Bank Park, and transportation to/from this event. To register yourself (and your guests), please indicate your attendance on the registration form. Please note that this event is on a first come, first serve basis, as there is limited seating for the catered luncheon.

Take Me Out To The Ballpark!
Enjoy a Friday night at one of the most beautiful baseball parks in the country - Citizen's Bank Park. Join your fellow AOASM Conference attendees and attend a Major League Baseball game watching the Philadelphia Phillies take on the Atlanta Braves at Citizen's Bank Park in Philadelphia.
Pre-game options include food and drink at McFadden's Saloon (http://www.mcfaddensballpark.com/) at Citizen's Bank Park or any of the multiple options at the Xfinity Live! Complex (http://www.xfinitylive.com/), one of Philadelphia's newest sports-oriented entertainment and dining complexes also located at the Stadium Complex. Transportation can be directly from the hotel via the Broad Street Subway Line to the stadium complex (AT and T Station) which is the last stop on the Broad Street Subway LIne. Citizen's Bank Park is also about a 10 to 15 minute cab ride away.
The game is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The AOASM has secured a block of discounted tickets in sections 105 and 106 (http://philadelphia.phillies.mlb.com/phi/ticketing/season_chart.jsp) of the park which has easy walkable access to Ashburn Alley and all of the food and drink options that the park offers. These tickets can be reserved in advance via pre-registration and an additional fee of $30.00. Both McFadden's and Xfinity Live! are open well after the game is completed to continue to allow you to socialize with fellow attendees and partake in food and drink that is unique to Philadelphia, such as Philly soft pretzels and cheesesteaks!
Registration for yourself and any guests should be noted on the registration form. Please note that this event is on a first come, first serve basis as there is limited ticketing in sections 105 and 106 made available as an exclusive offer to AOASM attendees.

The Diagnostic Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Course is designed for those who would like to gain more experience with diagnostic scanning and have a practical hands on experience with highly experience faculty. This course will cover major body regions and review the commonly used protocols for examining the various joints of the body.

The Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Procedures Course is designed to help participants gain experience in injecting and improving ultrasound guidance skills. It is designed to briefly review basic ultrasound principles and provide an opportunity for participants to expand their knowledge and skills.
Note: Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis.
Space is limited to 40 participants (Pre-registration to attend both the Diagnostic and Procedure Courses is welcomed.)

Call for Case Presentation & Research Abstract Submissions
The AOASM Research and Case Presentation Committee would like to announce the Call for Case Presentation & Research Abstract Submissions. The goal is to have all Sports Medicine Fellowship Programs participating with a poster presentation, a case podium presentation, or a research podium presentation. The criteria for submission of either a case or research are available now to download here. Deadlines for submissions are March 1, 2015.

Sports Medicine Examination for Certification of Added Qualifications (CAQ)
AOASM will be offering the Sports Medicine Examination for Certification of Added Qualifications (CAQ) from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. The Recertification Exam will also be offered from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. You must pre-register with the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to sit for either exam. AOASM does not coordinate the registration for the exam. GROUND TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS
Philadelphia Car Rental Agencies
There are several companies to choose from when renting a car at the Philadelphia International Airport. Please contact the company of your choice for more information prior to arriving the Annual Meeting. NOTE: Car rental counters are located at the airport, but not at Baggage Claim. To pick-up your vehicle from the Airport, utilize the information phones that are available at all baggage claim areas for each of the on-airport car rental agencies to schedule a shuttle pick-up. Upon arrival, you may also proceed to ZONE 2 outside the baggage claim area to wait for your agency shuttle that will take you to their specific airport check-in counter.
Lady Liberty Transportation Airport Shuttle
The hours of the shuttle service are offered daily 5:30 a.m. to Midnight. The cost of this service is $10 per person (one-way.) Due to strict airport policy, this shuttle company cannot offer pre-arranged shuttle pick-up prior to arriving to the airport. (This is due to security purposes.) Instead, please follow these instructions enclosed. When you arrive at the airport and once you have all your bags, go to the baggage claim area and look for the "Ground Transportation Counter" to schedule a pick-up onsite. To do this, there will be a courtesy phone located at this counter. Dial #27. An operator will answer and make arrangements for your shuttle service. The operator will give you instructions on where to go for the shuttle pick-up location at the airport and give you a rough estimate of your scheduled pick-up. (Estimated shuttle pick-up is between 5-20 minutes.) The shuttle will drop-off and pick-up all guests off at the Filbert Street entrance to the hotel, located on the first floor next to the front desk area. For departure, attendees are able to schedule a pick-up time for shuttle service to return back to the airport, via phone OR ask the DoubleTree Hotel Concierge desk to call and schedule a pick-up on your behalf. (Please plan on leaving two-hours prior to your departure time, and make reservations with the shuttle company at least 24-hours from your travel date.) To make a Reservation from the hotel to the airport ONLY: Call +1-215-724-8888 (open daily from 5:30 a.m. to Midnight).
Taxi service can be accessed at ZONE 5 on the Commercial Transportation Roadway. All taxi rates are based per trip, not per person and most taxis can accommodate up to 3 passengers. Fares are either based on the meter or a flat rate and all taxi accept credit cards. Attendees that choose to utilize taxi service at the airport to and from the DoubleTree hotel will be charged $28.50 flat rate (one-way) from the airport to the central Philadelphia area. The hotel is approximately 9-miles (20 minutes) from the airport.
