Board Certification
Board Certification: The Future of Sports Medicine
Board Certification of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine was approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) in July 1992. This exciting development came after almost 10 years of lobbying efforts by the AOASM to establish board certification in sports medicine. The AOASM is a member of the Conjoint Examination Committee establishing the requirements and procedures for board certification and will, therefore, be able to effectively assist its members in becoming certified in sports medicine.
