San Diego Sports Medicine

Full-time opportunity in San Diego, California for Board Certified Family Physician, fellowship trained in Sports Medicine with CAQ or CAQ-eligible.

San Diego Sports Medicine and Family Health Center is one of the oldest and most respected sports medicine centers in the U.S.  Our practice was started in 1980 by E. Lee Rice, D.O., and currently has 11 physicians and two fellows practicing from two locations in San Diego.  San Diego Sports Medicine hosts the longest continually operating Sports Medicine fellowship in the nation.

We take care of professional, Olympic, college, high school and recreational teams.  We serve as team physicians for San Diego State University Athletics and the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center. Our physicians have covered the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games and Pan Am Games. Our physicians oversee and cover several mass participation events such as the Susan G. Komen 3-Day, the Challenged Athlete Foundation’s Million Dollar Challenge, the Unlimited Hydroplanes on Mission Bay and the Rock & Roll Marathon.

Within our practice we have an Executive Wellness program, Fire Wellness program and Clinical Research department. Although we are an independent group, we have faculty positions and share didactics with UCSD and the US Navy/Camp Pendleton sports medicine fellowship programs.

We will interview passionate, service and team-oriented candidates who are solid team players.  If interested, please forward your curriculum vitae to:
