Letter From the President to the Members

Dr. Bernie King, DO, FAOASMDear Fellow Members,

I certainly want to wish you all a happy new year and wish, too, for the AOASM a prosperous 2008.

I want to assure you that the Board is hard at work refining and improving our infrastructure as well as implementing new ideas that we hope will keep our Academy strong.

Our first goal is to be great at what we do. To that end, Dr. Michael Henehan has produced an outstanding program for the 2008 Annual Conference. This is scheduled for April 30 through May 3 for Kansas City, KS. I am excited and hopeful to see you all there. Please make every effort to attend and you won t be disappointed.

Our second goal is to be great at who we are. It is vitally important to our Academy that we support our current members as well as encourage our colleagues to look to us as the leaders in the Sports Medicine world. We are our best marketing tool, so let’s capitalize on that and attract NEW members. Call a friend, talk to a classmate, email your partner -- let s make 2008 the year of increased AOASM membership!

As always, please know that we are here to serve you in any way any of us can. We are no further away than an email or a phone call for whatever you may need.

Be well. See you in Kansas City.

Bernard King, DO, FAOASM
