Certification in Sports Medicine
The AOASM remains active in preparing members for the certification examination and in setting up fellowship/residencies in sports medicine. The AOASM is a member of the Conjoint Examination Committee establishing the requirements and procedures for certification and will, therefore, be able to effectively assist members in becoming certified in sports medicine.
The Annual Clinical Conference, held in the spring, is designed to blend the latest advances in sports medicine with practical clinical approaches through a series of workshops, lectures, and symposia. The Conference is an opportunity to earn CME credits, while refreshing and/or expanding your knowledge base in sports medicine.
Continuing education credits are awarded by the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine, and The Board of Certification.
AOASM members are entitled to a reduced registration fee for the Annual Clinical Conference.
The AOASM has adopted the Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine as its official publication. This affiliation affords AOASM members the opportunity to publish articles in an Index Medicus publication. AOASM members receive the Journal at 33% off the regular subscription rate.
