Scandalis Joins Ross-Lee in Leading NYCOM
Vice President Ross-Lee and I are pleased to announce that effective July 1, associate dean of academic affairs at NYCOM, Dr. Thomas A. Scandalis, D.O., FAOASM, will serve as dean of NYCOM. The dean of NYCOM and dean of the School of Health Professions, Behavioral and Life Sciences report to Dr. Ross-Lee in her continuing capacity leading our Academic Health Center as vice president for health sciences and medical affairs.
Dr. Scandalis is a 1987 graduate of New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and board certified in family practice and also sports medicine. He has served as team physician for NYIT since 1988. As a faculty member at NYIT, he has moved up the academic ranks to full professor and the administrative ranks to his current position. His research, grants and publications are in the areas of manipulative treatment and joint and muscle disorders, as well as Parkinson’s disease.
