Summary:
After attending this webinar you will understand mechanical conditions that can affect the athlete’s skin and recognize and understand the management of skin infections in the athlete.
Daniel A. Clearfield, DO, MS, FAOASM, is a physician at MaxHealth Family & Sports Medicine in Colleyville, TX, where he practices osteopathic sports medicine and is also an Adjunct Professor at UNTHSC-TCOM. Dr. Clearfield has previously served on the AOASM Board of Directors and has served on numerous committees within the AOASM, including the website, research, student/resident/fellow, and conference program planning committees. Additionally, he is part of the AOASM’s international educational efforts as a Sports Osteopathy International Trainer. Dr. Clearfield covers numerous high schools and area sports and is a team physician for USA Wrestling and USA Judo.
The American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The AOASM designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 of AOA Category 1-A credits, and will report CME commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation. To receive Category 1A CME credits, you must complete a CME reporting form, which will be emailed to all attendees after completion of the webinar.
