This on-demand webinar recording is available for purchase and for CME credit. The webinar was originally hosted on September 19, 2018, by Dr. Franks, and is now available again for purchase, viewing, and credit (if needed) until September 19, 2019.

If credit is needed, please be advised that you will need to take a pre-test before viewing the webinar (the pre-test link will be sent to you upon registration for this webinar), and then you will be put in contact with staff to access the webinar and have three chances to pass 70% or better on the post-test upon completion of the webinar, and one week to submit questions to the presenter.

As the fall sports season ramps up, concussion detection and management become increasingly important for every team physician or physician providing sideline coverage. Join R. Rob Franks, DO, FAOASM, as he provides 
an overview of current treatment when caring for a concussed athlete. This one-hour webinar will help attendees understand the current concepts in the diagnosis and treatment of concussion in the athletic population, and translate this understanding to improve patient care.

Dr. Franks is a 
board-certified family medicine physician with a certificate of added qualification in Sports Medicine at the Rothman Institute. Dr. Franks currently serves as Director of the Rothman Concussion Institute. He is an Associate Professor at Thomas Jefferson University and Volunteer Clinical Associate Professor at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Franks specializes in medical orthopaedics, sports medicine. Dr. Franks is widely published on sports concussion management having co-authored the Team Physician’s Consensus Statement on Concussion and further contributing numerous articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national and international meetings.

The American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.  The AOASM designates this program for a maximum of 1.0 of AOA Category 1-A 
credits, and will report CME commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation. To receive Category 1A CME credits, you must complete a CME reporting form, which will be emailed to all attendees after completion of the webinar.
